Hilo Interior Studio·2025

Hilo Interiors

(Overview) 01

An interior studio's website is a portfolio of a portfolio: if the site feels cramped, so does their work. We gave Hilo's projects the negative space they design with.

The Challenge

Hilo's photography was stunning and their old site crushed it into a three-column grid with watermarks. Prospective clients couldn't feel the spaces. The studio wanted something gallery-like, but it still had to funnel visitors to a consultation call.

The Approach

We built the site like one of their rooms: generous whitespace (in our case, darkspace), full-bleed imagery with slow parallax, and a project walkthrough that scrolls horizontally like moving through a floor plan. A persistent, understated 'Book a consultation' anchor keeps the funnel present without breaking the mood.

(The Outcome) 02

Time on the project pages tripled, and consultation bookings from the site went from occasional to weekly. Hilo now sends the site link instead of a PDF portfolio. It is the pitch.
